When in Fort Lauderdale, dive American Dream II Dive Charter.

Dave told me that you need to use the metal pole to gentle touch the lobster's tale and the lobster will come out of the hole as it thinks it is being attached from behind. On the second dive, I found a lobster and Dave demonstrated the "tickling the Marshall Karphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09207408874884230751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5152288.post-52314689120864365502014-08-03T15:01:00.001-04:002014-08-03T15:01:43.402-04:00Mini Lobster SeasonWednesday and Thursday were Mini Lobster Season, which is kind of like Deer Season up north here. You need to buy a license and you can go out and bag a 12 lobster limit. I heard about this early in the week but Thursday afternoon, I was on an all Lobster Hunting Boat. I was paired up with Brandon and we dove to get lobsters. On the first dive, we were on a deep 60 foot reef, which I just didMarshall Karphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09207408874884230751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5152288.post-82316989318031435112014-08-03T14:45:00.002-04:002014-08-03T14:45:45.623-04:00Reef DivesI made eight dives during the week, with five being reef dives. Here are the best shots.

Once again, we dove the Hog Heaven Wreck, which is very big and picturesque. I had my Sears Craftsman reef gloves in my pocket to put on when I went down. When I got down to 70 feet and went to put my glove on, they were gone. They had fallen out of the pocket. Very disappointed. Anyway, when I got back on the boat, the gloves had Marshall Karphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09207408874884230751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5152288.post-66241928484094190662013-08-10T18:46:00.001-04:002013-08-10T18:46:22.539-04:00Fort Lauderdale Dive VideoMarshall Karphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09207408874884230751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5152288.post-24975690693688910042013-08-10T16:08:00.002-04:002013-08-10T16:08:18.465-04:00Fort Lauderdale Hog Heaven Wreck Dive

I went diving today with Paul. Usually Adam is with us, but he was away on vacation. This is a strip mining pit that the springs have filled up. The water is warm above the thermocline at 15 and colder below that.

He was in the Signal Corp and stationed at Hickam Air Base, which was right next door to Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Here is my father's incredible eyewitness testimony of December 7, 1941, the bombing and attack on Pearl Harbor. Sadly, my father passed away two years ago. He was a great American and a great man.

First dive in Grand Cayman and my dive buddy finds this 5 to 6 foot green moray eel thinking it is hidden in a hole, when it is barely covered by the coral.
Nothing big to see here, but this is a deep wall dive at 100 feet. The wall goes down to 6,000 feet. Lois had heard something about a beach with starfish and a dolphin, so the last day, we went off to find it. After a couple of wrong turns, we finally found the beach at Ivory Kai Point.
There was not alot of them around, but the ones we did find were very unusual and beautiful to look at.

In April of 2004, I was visiting my parents the same day the World War II Memorial in Washington DC opened and we watched the opening ceremony together. How would you like to start out in a career field where every single method and trade secret was exposed, all that was is gone and shattered, and now what do you do? Elaine, Ryan, and I went to the Palace Theater in Canton last night to watch the Battle of Magicians and a fun night it was. Also, it was the night of the "SuperMoon", so it was a very mysterious and cosmically heavy occasion. Marshall Karphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09207408874884230751noreply@blogger.com0
